Terms of use
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Fields in [brackets] are still to be completed.
1. Provider and scope
Lexoverse is provided by [Company name GmbH], [Street and number], [Postal code] [City] (“we”). These terms apply to everyone who uses Lexoverse: learners, teachers and visitors.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Lexoverse. Keep your password safe and give correct information. You must be at least 16 years old, or have your parent's or guardian's consent. One account per person.
3. Free features and Pro
The learning path, practice, flashcards, reading, speaking and the community are free. Pro costs €5 per month, gives access to the career courses and unlimited gems, and can be cancelled at any time for the end of the current month. Prices include VAT.
4. Learning content and AI
Lessons, quizzes and other content are partly created by AI and checked automatically. Despite our care they may contain mistakes. Lexoverse helps you learn; it does not guarantee a specific result or certificate.
5. Lessons with teachers
- Teachers are independent and give lessons in their own name. Lexoverse provides the platform, the booking and the payment, and keeps a commission of 15% of the lesson price, paid by the teacher.
- Each learner can book one free 15-minute intro call per teacher.
- Lessons are paid when booked. You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before the start. Later cancellations or not showing up are not refunded. If the teacher cancels, you get the full amount (or the package lesson) back.
- Packages of 4, 8 or 12 lessons are valid for 90 days; fixed weekly lessons are booked for the chosen weeks. Lessons not used in time expire.
- Lessons are only recorded if both people agree in the call; either can stop the recording at any time.
6. Wallet, gems and gift codes
Your balance can be used for lessons, packages, materials, gems and Pro. It cannot be paid out to learners. Gift codes can be redeemed once. Gems are a virtual item inside Lexoverse and have no cash value.
7. Your content and community rules
You are responsible for what you post, upload or send. Be respectful. No harassment, hate, spam, advertising, illegal content or content that breaks the rights of others (especially copyright). You can report content with the Report button; we review every report, remove content that breaks the law or these rules and tell the reporter the outcome. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. You give us the right to show your content inside Lexoverse as long as it is published there.
8. Teachers and the materials marketplace
Teachers must give correct information in their application and profile. Materials offered for sale must be the teacher's own work (AI-assisted work is allowed) and must not copy or quote other books or materials. Every material is reviewed before it is listed. In case of a copyright violation we remove the material, refund buyers and end the teacher account; the teacher is solely responsible towards third parties. Buyers may use bought materials in their own teaching, but not resell or publish them. Earnings are credited after our 15% commission and paid out once payouts are available.
9. Right of withdrawal for consumers
If you are a consumer in the EU, you can withdraw from a paid contract within 14 days without giving reasons by telling us at [contact e-mail]. For digital content and services that you asked us to start before the end of this period (for example a booked lesson that already took place or a Pro month already used), the right of withdrawal expires once the service has been fully provided, or you pay for the part already provided.
10. Liability
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual duties, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. We are not liable for the content of teachers and users or for lessons given by teachers.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings (or by writing to [contact e-mail]); upcoming lessons must be cancelled first. A remaining balance is not paid out. We can close accounts with two weeks' notice, or immediately for serious breaches of these terms.
12. Changes and law
We may change these terms for good reasons and will tell you in good time before; if you do not object, the new terms apply. German law applies; if you are a consumer, the protections of the law of your country of residence remain. Our privacy policy is here.
